Achievement of Division in the Financial Year 2018-19 by DRM in Visakhapatnam,Vizag Vision..Waltair Division has loaded all time record of 61.93 million tonnes which is 9.53% over the last year (56.54 million tonnes) that fetched Rs 7303.52 crores which is 12.10% more than last year (Rs 6515.25 crores)
Waltair Division has transported 36.38 million passengers which is 3.76% higher than the last year ( 35.06 millions) that earned Rs 555.06 crores to the Division which is 6.98% than last Financial year ( Rs 518.86 crores)
Earnings:
Waltair Division achieved total Divisional Revenue of Rs 7957.39 crores which is 11.28% higher than the last year (Rs 7150.68 crores)
Passenger Amenities:
1. Improvements to the Circulating area at Srikakulam stations by providing 8000 sqm of BT surface
2. Paperless Unreserved Ticketing – UTSONMOBILE- a mobile app by which one take Unreserved tickets through Mobiles introduced in Waltair Division in May-2018
3. Five Yatri Ticket Suvidha Kendra Commissioned over the division at Pedda Waltair, MVP Colony, Parlakhemundi, Rayagada and Jeypore
4. Unreserved Ticketing System Commissioned at Tilaru, Chipurupalle, Paravatipuram, Parlakhemundi, Gunupur.
5. Nine additional Automatic Ticket Vending Machines commissioned; Six at Visakhapatnam Railway station, Two at Vizianagaram Railway station and One at Chipurupalle railway station
Passenger Facilities:
1. The Division has run 281 originating special trains during the last financial year and 307 special trains were run passing through the Division
2. The first overnight express to Kirandul, Train No. 18514 / 18513 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Express train has been regularized from 15-08-2018 with augmentation of a 2nd AC Coach. Previously it was ruining as a special train.
3. Train No. 18108/07 Rourkela –Koraput express extended up to Jagdalpur
4. Additional stoppage on experimental basis for a period of 6 months given to Puri-Gandhidham express at Bobbili railway station from 08-03-201
5. Frequency of Train No. 18117/18 Rourkela-Gunupur Rajyarani express increased from tri-weekly to six days a week from 13-03-2019.
Safety:
1. Two additional Escalators were commissioned at Visakhapatnam Railway station on PF No.1 &8
2. Renovated 6metres wide Foot Over Bridge Commissioned at Visakhapatnam
3. Addional FOBs at Simhachalam, Duvvada, Rayagada Commissioned
4. First FOBs at Jimidipeta, Ladda commissioned
5. 2nd FOB commissioned at VZM Railway Station on 019-03-2019, i.e 6mt wide and 62.7mt long constructed in record time of 82 days

Innovative Measures:
1. A world class air conditioned Relaxing Lounge with comfortable cushioned seats, provided at Plat Form No.8 of Visakhapatnam railway station.
2. A Refreshing lounge, first of its kind in Indian Railways, with Toilets, Shower & Relaxing facilities constructed on plat from No.8 Visakhapatnam railway station with CSR funds from HPCL commissioned on 30.01.2019
3. DigiPay campaign to create awareness among the travelling public organized over the Division by providing E-Pos machines and Visakhapatnam is made 100% digipay enabled railway station.

Very good improvement in the loading of commodities with the consistent efforts of Divisional Team:
1. The coal loading increased by 10%
2. Iron and Steel grown by 10-12%
3. Iron ore growth by 6%
4. Waltair Division loaded 9% more than last year to Visakhapatnam port and loaded 8% more than last year to Gangavaram Port
5. Container loading growth was 46% more than last year
6. The growth in terms of scrap sale is Rs 83 crores which 80% more than last year (Rs46 crores) (21000 tonnes)
7. Mango loading was 28 rakes and generated Rs 6 Crores
8. 133 freight trains are being moved over the division per day
9. Working expenses were contained to 3% where as growth of revenue was at 11%
10. Operating ratio of Waltair Division is improved by 2.5% ie 33%
11. Outstanding of Rs120 crores were cleared this financial year
12. 124 kms of rail renewals were done, 102 Kms of Sleeper renewals were done
13. Mobility enhancement by rationalization of crew booking offices, driver base from Bacheli to Koraput resulting in higher efficiency, Operation Vikas leading to increase in the speeds of trains
