DRM CUP SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP COMMENCED
The 4th DRM Cup Swimming Championship by East Coast Railway Sports Association- Waltair commenced today at the Railway Swimming Pool at the Railway Stadium, Visakhapatnam. Divisional Railway Manager Shri Saurabh Prasad in presence of President ECoRWWO Smt Manjushree Prasad inaugurated the championship today. Sports Officer Shri Praveen Kumar Bhati, Joint Sports Officer Shri B Avinash and General Secretary Shri Reddy Srinivas etc were also present.
More than 170 participants registered for the 4th DRM Cup Swimming championship. Today 5 age groups took in part 20 events of 50mtrs Free Style, Back Stroke .In 50mts back stroke the following won the 1st place
From Group-Open: Boys – N Sai Sampath Reddy
Group-II for 12-14 years- Boys: Durga Abhinav Sai
Group-III for the age group 10-11years- Boys: U Sandeep ; Girls: Dhruthy
Group-IV for age group 8-9 years – Boys –Muvvala Lakshik Narayan; Girl-Kurmi Prerana
In 50mts Free Style
From Group-Open: Boys – N Sai Sampath Reddy
Group I for Boys: M Sai Kishore
Group-II for 12-14 years- Boys: K Karthik ; Girls : P. Reshma Sree
Group-III for the age group 10-11years- Boys: G Priyesh Naidu ; Girls: V. Dhruthy
Group-IV for age group 8-9 years – Boys –PVS Vaishnaw ; Girl-MS Pragathi
N.Sai Sampath Reddy secured First place in 50meters in freestyle and back stroke in open group who is a National games player and have the participation of khelo India, Senior National, Universities level. Whereas Eagala. Pardhuchinna yadav secured second place in 50meters in freestyle and back stroke in open group.
DRM Shri Saurabh Prasad appreciated Mr. Abhinav who won the Gold medal in Group-II in 50mtr back stroke DRM cup swimming competition.
