Visakhapatnam Vizagvision: *Diamond Jubilee Celebrations at Movement Control Office (MCO) Visakhapatnam*The HQ 433 MC/MF Detachment popularly known as MCO Vizag completed 60 years of glorious service to the nation on 01 May 2025. The detachment was established in 1965 at Vishakapatnam Railway Station, to assist the triservices defence transients in their journey at short notice and also to assist in operational readiness movement plans as and when required.*Major General Ajay Misra – the General Officer Commanding – Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA) was the Chief Guest for the diamond jubilee celebrations.* The General Officer congratulated the team on the *60th Raising Day* of their unit and paid tribute to the yeoman service being rendered by the team 433 MC/ MF Det in assisting the serving personnel of the armed forces, their families/their dependents, ex servicemen and DSC personnel in reaching their destinations in emergency travel. General Officer was received by *Captain (IN) Sarup Banerjee – the Officer Commanding MCO Vizag* on arrival and the traditional cake cutting ceremony was conducted in the presence of officers from HQ TASA, Station HQ (Army) Vizag, families and personnel of team 433 MC/ MF Det.General Ajay Mishra and Mrs Mishra presented mementos and gifts to all the guests, unit personnel and their families.A felicitation ceremony to commend the senior railway officers of Waltair Division, East Coast Railways was held in the MCO premises at Vizag railway station. Shri Lalit Bohra – DRM Waltair Division, Shri Manoj Kumar Sahoo -ADRM Operations, E Santaram – ADRM Infrastructure and senior officers from defence services and railways attended the ceremony. Mr Bohra praised the MCO Vizag team for being at the forefront in providing the maximum utilisation of defence department quota and also the emergency quotas through proactive liaison with the railways. He promised to provide full support to the MCO Vizag in their pursuit of being the best MCO of the country despite its small size and strength.Captain Sarup Banerjee, the OC MCO Vizag assured the DRM and his team on behalf of team 433 to continue their best endeavours in serving the nation, especially its defence forces.
