Chandrababu Naidu to lay foundation for Google AI Data Center in Visakhapatnam on April 28

Visakhapatnam to be on World Tech map with establishment of 15 billion dollars Google data center

Tech giants’ focus on Visakhapatnam with arrival of Google Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will lay foundation for Google AI Data Center in Visakhapatnam on April 28 (Tuesday) giving scope for on set of a new era in Andhra Pradesh’s technology landscape.
The AI Data Center is expected to mark a historic milestone in India’s technology sector. With this advanced facility, Visakhapatnam is poised to emerge as a key AI gateway for Asia and secure a permanent place on the global technology map. The prestigious project will position Visakhapatnam city along with world’s leading technology hubs.
Google is going to invest USD 15 billion in the project, making it one of the largest Foreign Direct Investments in India’s history. The AI Data Center will have a capacity of 1 Gigawatt. The project has become possible due to the coalition government’s proactive Speed of Doing Business policy aimed at attracting large-scale investments.
With the upcoming subsea cable connectivity system, Visakhapatnam will soon have direct digital links with several countries. The data center will provide large-scale data storage capacity along with advanced AI cloud infrastructure.
Visakhapatnam’s coastal location makes it highly suitable for an international submarine cable landing station. The data center will be developed across nearly 600 acres in Tharluwada, Adavivaram and Rambilli regions with a total capacity of 1 Gigawatt.
Companies such as AdaniConneX and Airtel Nxtra are partners in the project. The government’s long-term vision is to build a multi-gigawatt digital hub with a total capacity of 6.5 Gigawatts across the state.
Beyond infrastructure, the Google Data Center is expected to generate significant employment opportunities. Thousands of jobs are likely to be created in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, cloud operations, maintenance, cybersecurity, cloud architecture and data science. Revenue generated through data centers will further strengthen the state economy.
The project is also expected to attract investments in allied sectors including power systems, cooling technologies, server manufacturing and networking, helping create a robust AI ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh.
Google AI cloud services are expected to position Visakhapatnam as a major technology hub in Asia. AI-driven companies are also likely to choose the city as their destination. IT startups, research centers, cloud firms and semiconductor companies are expected to establish operations in the region.
The government is making arrangements to ensure green energy supply for data centers proposed by Google and other technology firms. With global companies focusing on Visakhapatnam, world-class infrastructure such as the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport will further strengthen the city’s global appeal.
In line with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, the Google project is set to become a major milestone in transforming Andhra Pradesh into a global technology powerhouse.

DRM CONDUCTS VISAKHAPATNAM- PARVATIPURAM SECTION INSPECTION

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Waltair, Shri Lalit Bohra, accompanied by Shri MV Ramana, Senior Divisional Engineer (North), Shri A. Avinash Senior Divisional Operations Manager (Movement) and senior officers of the Division, conducted a comprehensive inspection of Bobbili, and Parvatipuram railway stations and their adjoining sections and Window trailing inspection of the Visakhapatnam- Parvatipuram section today 25.04.2026. The primary objective was to evaluate station facilities, amenities, and infrastructure upgrades to ensure safety and enhance passenger comfort.

During the inspection, DRM and team precisely assessed key areas including circulating areas, retiring rooms, relay room, waiting halls, food court areas, booking and parcel offices, other railway establishments and improvements to overall station buildings.

The inspection commenced at Bobbili railway station, followed by Parvatipuram and Parvatipuram Town stations. Special attention was given to amenities and infrastructure developments, particularly under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. He reviewed the progress of works including the construction of a wide Foot Over Bridges, circulating areas and parking lots, upgrades to station buildings at the stations etc. During the inspection MLA Parvatipuram Shri Bonela Vijaya Chandra along with representatives from associations met DRM and highlighted various railway related issues.

At Level Crossing gate RV-285, DRM conducted safety audit where he interacted with the on-duty gateman to assess their safety awareness and adherence to operational protocols, and also inspected an under construction Limited Height Subway at Sitanagaram,

In addition, Shri Lalit Bohra interacted with station staff to review their competencies, maintenance procedures, and concerns, with a focus on upholding strict safety protocols and improving passenger facilities.

• అప్పుడే ఇంధన రంగంలో భారత్ అగ్రస్థానంలో ఉంటుంది. డీజిల్, పెట్రోలు, గ్యాస్ లాంటి ఇంధనాలతో పాటు విద్యుత్ ఉత్పత్తి అనేది కీలకం
• తక్కువ వ్యయంతో విద్యుత్ ఉత్పత్తి చేస్తేనే మనకు ప్రయోజనాలు ఉంటాయి
• 500 గిగావాట్ల గ్రీన్ ఎనర్జీ ఉత్పాదన చేయాలని ప్రధాని లక్ష్యం విధిస్తే అందులో ఏపీ 160 గిగావాట్ల ఉత్పత్తి లక్ష్యం పెట్టుకున్నాం
• ఇప్పటికే 90 గిగావాట్ల గ్రీన్ ఎనర్జీ ఉత్పత్తి దిశగా ముందడుగు వేశాం.
• ప్రోజ్యూమర్ అనే విధానంలో పెద్ద ఎత్తున విద్యుత్ ఉత్పాదన చేసి త్వరలోనే ఎగుమతులు సాధించగలుగుతాం
• గతంలో సౌర విద్యుత్ ప్యానళ్ల కోసం చైనాపై ఆధారపడే వాళ్లం. ఇప్పుడు వాటిని దేశీయంగానే ఉత్పత్తి చేయగలుగుతున్నాం
• గ్రీన్ అమ్మోనియా లాంటి వాటి ద్వారా ఈ ఇంధన లక్ష్యాలను చేరుకోగలుగుతాం
• డేటా సెంటర్లకు కూడా పెద్ద ఎత్తున విద్యుత్ కావాలి. గూగుల్ సంస్థ విశాఖలో 15 బిలియన్ డాలర్ల పెట్టుబడి పెడుతోంది
• 28న మేం విశాఖలో గూగుల్ నిర్మాణానికి శంకుస్థాపన చేయబోతున్నాం
• ఉమ్మడి రాష్ట్రంలో సైబరాబాద్ నిర్మాణం చేయటం ద్వారా దేశానికి టెక్ క్యాపిటల్ ను ఏర్పాటు చేయగలిగాం
• ఇప్పుడు అమరావతి రాజధాని నిర్మాణం ద్వారా నాకు మరో నగర నిర్మాణం చేసే అవకాశం దక్కింది
• ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీగా గ్రీన్, బ్లూ సిటీ, నెట్ జీరో కాన్సెప్టుతో హైదరాబాద్ ప్లస్ నగరంగా అమరావతిని తీర్చిదిద్దుతున్నాం
• సంస్కరణలు సంపదను సృష్టిస్తాయి. రెవెన్యూ వస్తేనే సంక్షేమం చేయగలం.
• అభివృద్ధితో పాటు సంక్షేమం కూడా కీలకమైన అంశం
• మన సమాజం కేవలం మిలియనీర్లు, బిలియనీర్ల కోసం మాత్రమే కాదు. సాధారణ ప్రజలది కూడా
