SOUTH COAST RAILWAY OBSERVES WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

South Coast Railway (SCoR) observed World Environment Day with a Green Plantation Drive at Mudasarlova, the site of the upcoming South Coast Railway Zonal Headquarters, reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability and ecological conservation.

Shri Sandeep Mathur, General Manager, South Coast Railway, along with Smt. Charu Mathur, President, South Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (SCoRWWO), participated in the plantation drive and led the initiative to promote a greener and healthier environment. Principal Heads of Departments (PHODs), senior railway officials, and Executive Members of SCoRWWO also took part in the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sandeep Mathur emphasized the importance of environmental stewardship and sustainable development. He stated, “Every sapling planted today is a step towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier tomorrow. As we build infrastructure for the future, it is equally important that we nurture nature and create sustainable ecosystems for generations to come.” Following this, a pledge was administered, reaffirming the commitment to environmental conservation.

As part of the celebrations, an innovative ‘Make in India Lion’ Waste-to-Art installation was unveiled by Shri Sandeep Mathur at the venue. The creative sculpture, developed using recycled and discarded materials, symbolises the Railway’s commitment to environmental responsibility, resource conservation, and the promotion of the ‘Waste to Wealth’ concept.

These capabilities enable _Nipun_ to function as an integrated platform for complex operations beneath the surface.The forthcoming commissioning of _Nipun_ will further strengthen the Indian Navy’s ability to undertake specialised diving and underwater missions across India’s maritime areas of interest. The induction of this indigenously built platform also reflects the growing capability of the country’s shipbuilding ecosystem to deliver technologically advanced and specialised vessels in support of the Navy’s operational requirements.*About the Crest*The crest embodies the ship’s primary role as a Diving Support Vessel and symbolises the courage, endurance and professional excellence associated with deep-sea diving.The whale, renowned for its ability to dive to great depths and remain submerged for extended durations, signifies endurance, longevity and sustained operations in the depths of the ocean. It aptly represents the ship’s capability to support prolonged diving operations in the challenging deep-sea environment.The modern diving helmet represents the diver at the core of the ship’s mission and signifies the advanced diving systems and life-support capabilities provided by the vessel. It reflects the ship’s role in enabling divers to operate safely and effectively at great depths.Together, the whale and the diving helmet portray Nipun as a platform dedicated to taking the diver into the depths, sustaining him there, and bringing him back safely, while exemplifying the ship’s ethos of skill, endurance and professionalism.

Vizagvision Visakhapatnam:విశాఖలో ముగిసిన విద్యాభారతి అఖిలభారత సెకండరీ స్థాయి కార్యశాల – అఖిల భారతీయ శిక్షా సంస్థాన్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో మూడు రోజుల పాటు నిర్వహించిన సెకండరీ స్థాయి విద్యాపరిషత్ అఖిలభారత కార్యశాల విజయవంతంగా ముగిసింది. ఆగస్టు 23, 24, 25 తేదీలలో నగరంలోని విశాలాక్షీనగర్ B.V.K కళాశాలలో ఈ కార్యశాల జరిగింది.ఈ కార్యశాలలో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా 55 మంది ప్రాంత, క్షేత్ర ప్రముఖులు పాల్గొన్నారు.విద్యాభారతి అఖిలభారత సంఘటనా కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ గోవింద్ చంద్ర మహంత, ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ దేశ్ రాజ్ శర్మ, సహ సంఘటనా కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ శ్రీరామ్ ఆరావ్ కార్ పాల్గొని సెకండరీ ఇంచార్జ్ లకు దిశానిర్దేశం చేశారు.ఈ సందర్భంగా NEP అమలు, కౌశల్ వికాస్ తరగతుల ప్రారంభం, ఉన్నత ప్రమాణాలతో కూడిన విద్య, విద్యారంగ సవాళ్లు-పరిష్కారాలు, విద్యార్థులలో కమ్యూనికేటివ్ స్కిల్స్ అభివృద్ధి వంటి అంశాలపై విస్తృతంగా చర్చించారు.ఈ కార్యశాల సెకండరీ స్థాయి అఖిలభారత ప్రముఖ్ శ్రీ రాజీవ్ గుప్తా ఆధ్వర్యంలో జరిగింది. ప్రారంభ కార్యక్రమంలో దక్షిణ మధ్య క్షేత్ర ఉపాధ్యక్షులు ఆచార్య శ్రీ గొల్లపల్లి నాగేశ్వరరావు, ముగింపు కార్యక్రమంలో ఏపీ సంఘటనా కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ కన్నా భాస్కర్, ప్రాంత కార్యకారిణి సభ్యురాలు శ్రీమతి బి. ధరణిప్రియ పాల్గొన్నారు.
