GM SCOR INSPECTS BELLARY–GOOTY–DHARMAVARAM SECTION
General Manager, South Coast Railway, Shri Sandeep Mathur, inspected the Bellary–Gooty–Dharmavaram section of South Coast Railway today, reviewing infrastructure, safety measures and passenger amenities.
As part of the inspection, Shri Sandeep Mathur conducted a thorough inspection of the Hagari Bridge, reviewing its structural condition, safety aspects and maintenance measures to ensure safe and efficient train operations. He was accompanied by Shri Chandra Shekhar Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, Guntakal; Shri B.S.K. Rajkumar, Principal Chief Engineer; Shri O.B. Suresh Kumar, Principal Chief Signal & Telecom Engineer; Shri Vineet Kumar, Principal Chief Operations Manager; Shri Ankush Gupta, Chief Administrative Officer; and senior officers from the Division.
General Manager Shri Sandeep Mathur inspected Gooty, Anantapur and Dharmavaram railway stations and reviewed the progress of works being undertaken under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. He reviewed the development of passenger amenities and infrastructure, including Foot Over Bridges, waiting halls, drinking water facilities, yard remodelling and other safety-related works. He also suggested suitable modifications and improvements to enhance passenger convenience and the overall functionality of the stations. At Dharmavaram, he also inspected the Crew Lobby and reviewed the facilities and working arrangements.
Further, Shri Sandeep Mathur also inspected Level Crossing Gate No. 125 at Prasannayapalli, where he interacted with the Gateman and obtained first-hand feedback on safety practices, operational procedures and workplace conditions. He thoroughly inspected the maintenance of statutory registers and the availability and condition of safety equipment at the gate, stressing the importance of strict adherence to prescribed safety procedures.
During the inspection, General Manager emphasised that continuous monitoring, timely maintenance and strict compliance with safety protocols are essential for ensuring safe train operations and improving passenger amenities across the section.
