RATH YATRA SPECIAL PASSENGER TRAINS – 2026
To facilitate comfortable travel of pilgrims attending the world-famous Rath Yatra festival at Puri and to accommodate the anticipated surge in passenger traffic, Indian Railways will operate unreserved passenger special trains between Palasa – Puri and Gunupur – Puri on select dates during July 2026, as detailed below: –
- Train No. 08437/08438 Palasa – Puri – Palasa unreserved Passenger Special trains
The train No. 08437 unserved passenger Special train via Arugul & Haripurgram, will leave from Palasa – Puri on 15.07.2026 & 23.07.2026 at 21:00 hrs which will reach Puri mid night at 02:00 hrs.
In return direction, train No.08438 Puri – Palasa unreserved passenger Special via. Haripurgram & Arugul will leave from Puri on 17.07.2026 & 25.07.2026 at 04:00 hrs (early hours) which will reach Palasa 09:15 hrs on the same day.
Stoppages: The unreserved passenger special train will have one (01) minute stoppage at all enroute stations and halts between Palasa – Puri stations on both the directions.
- Train No. 08557/08558 Gunupur – Puri – Gunupur unreserved passenger Special trains
The train No. 08557 unserved passenger Special train via Arugul & Haripurgram, will leave from Gunupur – Puri on 15.07.2026 & 23.07.2026 at 18:30 hrs which will reach Puri mid night at 00:50 hrs.
In return direction, train No.08558 Puri – Gunupur unreserved passenger Special train via. Haripurgram & Arugul will leave from Puri on 17.07.2026 & 25.07.2026 at 02:45 hrs (early hours) which will reach Gunupur 09:45 hrs on the same day.
Stoppages: The unreserved passenger special train will have one (01) minute stoppage at all enroute stations and halts between Palasa – Puri stations on both the directions.
