Vizagvision Visakhapatnam:ENC CONDUCTS SEMINAR ON “SUBMARINE SONARS – ROADMAP FOR ENHANCED EXPLOITATION”A professionally intriguing seminar on “Submarine Sonars – Roadmap for Enhanced Exploitation” was conducted at Visakhapatnam on 03 Jul by SMHQ under the aegis of Eastern Naval Command.Chaired by VAdm Susheel Menon, Chief of Staff, Eastern Naval Command, the seminar brought together industry experts who are spearheading new projects, war fighters who have mastered theart of operating new generation sonars being designed under Aatmanirbhar Bharat, system maintainers, domain experts from academia, and design institutions. Papers were presented oncontemporary topics of submarine sonar exploitation, HR optimisation of operators, new concepts in database management and incorporation of emerging technologies. A compendium of papers submitted by Indian sonar designers and skilled operators of submarines was also released.The seminar, steered by Flag Officer Submarines provided a platform for discussing methodologytowards advancement in design and built of sonars and technology for data-fusion.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitmentto further deepening bilateral defence ties based on mutual trust, shared interests, and a commoన vision for a secure, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific.The SCMC serves as the principal military-to-military consultative mechanism between the two countries and is the precursor to the India-Malaysia Defence Cooperation Meeting held at thelevel of Defence Secretary.
