GM, SOUTH COAST RAILWAY REVIEWS CROWD MANAGEMENT ARRANGEMENTS AHEAD OF FESTIVE SEASON


With the onset of the major festive season, including Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath, railway stations and trains are expected to receive significant increase in passenger footfall. To ensure smooth transit and address the challenges posed by this surge, Shri Sandeep Mathur, General Manager of South Coast Railway (SCoR), conducted a comprehensive review of crowd management measures with all Principal Heads of the Departments (PHODs) and Divisional Railway Managers of the all the Divisions today.
During the review, the General Manager directed all Divisions to implement elaborate operational arrangements, which includes 24/7 Monitoring & Security; increasing the Ticketing & Passenger Assistance; proper Information Dissemination on real-time train information; Improvement and monitoring of Passenger Amenities; Adequate catering services and drinking water facilities etc.
To clear the extra holiday rush, SCoR is presently operating Special Trains to various destinations and has augmented existing weekly and long-distance trains with additional coaches.
South Coast Railway administration earnestly appeals to all passengers to adopt safe travel practices. Passengers are strictly advised against Foot-board traveling, crossing railway tracks or boarding trains from the non-platform side, Pulling the alarm chain without a valid emergency, boarding coaches specifically designated for ladies or Divyangjan.
