Vizagvision New Delhi: Raksha Mantri and Australian Deputy Prime Minister & Defence Minister co-chair second India-Australia Defence Ministers’ Dialogue Emphasise on enhanced defence industrial collaboration & cooperation in futuristic technology researchIndia & Australia affirm stronger regional cooperation for a free, peaceful & prosperous Indo-PacificRaksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh and Australian Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Defence Mr Richard Marles co-chaired the second edition of India-Australia Defence Ministers’ Dialogue at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi on June 01, 2026. The two Ministers welcomed thesignificant progress in the bilateral relationship, and reflected on the enhanced consultation & cooperation since the inaugural edition of the dialogue on October 09, 2025.The Ministers advanced their Prime Ministers’ long-term vision for collaboration between the two countries to enhance collective strength, contribute to both countries’ security, and make an important contribution to regional peace & security. They welcomed the progress towards realisingtheir Prime Ministers’ commitment to renew and strengthen the Joint Declaration on Defence and Security Cooperation.The two sides discussed advancements in bilateral maritime security cooperation and efforts to finalise the Joint Maritime Security Collaboration Roadmap. They agreed to progress the collaborative maritime domain awareness activities by maritime patrol aircraft and explore opportunities to enhance undersea domain awareness. They also encouraged further cooperation between the Indian Coast Guard and Australia’s Maritime Border Command.The Ministers affirmed the importance of enhancing cooperation with regional partners to help maintain a free, open, peaceful, stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific. They underscored the importance of freedom of navigation and overflight, and their strong support for unimpeded trade in the region & other lawful uses of the sea consistent with international law, particularly the 1982United Nations convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).India and Australia, as co-leads of the Indian Ocean Rim Association Working Group on Maritime Safety and Security, look forward to jointly hosting a Search & Rescue and tabletop Exercise at Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre, Chennai in June 2026 to strengthen maritimesafety and security cooperation in the Indian Ocean Region. The two sides undertook to explore arrangements to enhance procedural interoperability for exercises and operations, building on the2020 Mutual Logistics Support Arrangement. They also agreed to continue aircraft deployment from each other’s territories to build operational familiarity. The Ministers announced that India and Australia would begin developing a Memorandum ofUnderstanding regarding the Provision of Defence Articles and Defence Services as the next step in deepening defence industrial collaboration. They underscored the strategic importance of defenceindustrial collaboration and engagement, while welcoming Australia’s first defence trade mission to India and Australia-India Defence Industry Roundtable, both in October 2025, as a reflection ofgrowth in the bilateral defence industry relationship. The two sides agreed to explore further exchanges including through the Joint Working Group on Defence Industry, Research, and Materiel. Both the Ministers looked forward to exploring future defence science and technology research cooperation in new technology areas like sensor technologies. The Australian Deputy Prime Minister invited India to participate in the 2026 Australian Defence Science, Technology, andResearch Summit.The Ministers appreciated the growing engagement between their defence forces, and looked forward to India’s enhanced participation in Exercise Talisman Sabre 2027. They welcomedAustralia’s participation in India’s Exercise Milan in February 2026, and India’s participation in Australia’s Exercise Kakadu in March 2026. They looked forward to their countries’ participation in each other’s multinational air exercises in 2026, including operationalising the bilateral Implementing Arrangement on Air-to-Air Refuelling at Exercise Pitch Black. The two sides noted with satisfaction the expansion of military cooperation into new areas.They welcomed the evolution of Army Exercise Austrahind this year to focus on amphibious combat and littoral manoeuvre. Australia welcomed India’s inaugural participation in Operation Render Safe2026.

Vizagvision :INDIAN NAVY SET TO COMMISSION SECOND INDIGENOUS DIVING SUPPORT VESSEL ‘ _NIPUN_’The Indian Navy is set to commission _Nipun_ , the second Diving Support Vessel (DSV) of the Nistar-Class, on 31 Aug 2026 at Naval Dockyard, Mumbai. The induction of the specialised vessel will mark an important addition to the Navy’s deep-sea diving and underwater support capabilities and herald the beginning of a new chapter in the ship’s journey from construction to operational service. Indigenously designed and constructed by Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL), Visakhapatnam,_Nipun_ represents a significant milestone in India’s pursuit of self-reliance in defence shipbuilding. The vessel was delivered to the Indian Navy on 30 Jul 2026, following completion of an extensive programme of outfitting and trials._Nipun_ is a purpose-built platform designed to support a wide spectrum of diving and underwater operations . The ship is equipped with modern diving systems and underwater intervention capabilities , enabling sustained support to divers operating in demanding conditions at sea . It will also augment the Indian Navy’s capability to support submarine rescue operations.The ship incorporates modern systems for navigation, platform management and precise station keeping, complemented by specialised facilities for diving, underwater intervention and medical support. These capabilities enable _Nipun_ to function as an integrated platform for complex operations beneath the surface.The forthcoming commissioning of _Nipun_ will further strengthen the Indian Navy’s ability to undertake specialised diving and underwater missions across India’s maritime areas of interest. The induction of this indigenously built platform also reflects the growing capability of the country’s shipbuilding ecosystem to deliver technologically advanced and specialised vessels in support of the Navy’s operational requirements.*About the Crest*The crest embodies the ship’s primary role as a Diving Support Vessel and symbolises the courage, endurance and professional excellence associated with deep-sea diving.The whale, renowned for its ability to dive to great depths and remain submerged for extended durations, signifies endurance, longevity and sustained operations in the depths of the ocean. It aptly represents the ship’s capability to support prolonged diving operations in the challenging deep-sea environment.The modern diving helmet represents the diver at the core of the ship’s mission and signifies the advanced diving systems and life-support capabilities provided by the vessel. It reflects the ship’s role in enabling divers to operate safely and effectively at great depths.Together, the whale and the diving helmet portray Nipun as a platform dedicated to taking the diver into the depths, sustaining him there, and bringing him back safely, while exemplifying the ship’s ethos of skill, endurance and professionalism.

Vizagvision Visakhapatnam:విశాఖలో ముగిసిన విద్యాభారతి అఖిలభారత సెకండరీ స్థాయి కార్యశాల – అఖిల భారతీయ శిక్షా సంస్థాన్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో మూడు రోజుల పాటు నిర్వహించిన సెకండరీ స్థాయి విద్యాపరిషత్ అఖిలభారత కార్యశాల విజయవంతంగా ముగిసింది. ఆగస్టు 23, 24, 25 తేదీలలో నగరంలోని విశాలాక్షీనగర్ B.V.K కళాశాలలో ఈ కార్యశాల జరిగింది.ఈ కార్యశాలలో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా 55 మంది ప్రాంత, క్షేత్ర ప్రముఖులు పాల్గొన్నారు.విద్యాభారతి అఖిలభారత సంఘటనా కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ గోవింద్ చంద్ర మహంత, ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ దేశ్ రాజ్ శర్మ, సహ సంఘటనా కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ శ్రీరామ్ ఆరావ్ కార్ పాల్గొని సెకండరీ ఇంచార్జ్ లకు దిశానిర్దేశం చేశారు.ఈ సందర్భంగా NEP అమలు, కౌశల్ వికాస్ తరగతుల ప్రారంభం, ఉన్నత ప్రమాణాలతో కూడిన విద్య, విద్యారంగ సవాళ్లు-పరిష్కారాలు, విద్యార్థులలో కమ్యూనికేటివ్ స్కిల్స్ అభివృద్ధి వంటి అంశాలపై విస్తృతంగా చర్చించారు.ఈ కార్యశాల సెకండరీ స్థాయి అఖిలభారత ప్రముఖ్ శ్రీ రాజీవ్ గుప్తా ఆధ్వర్యంలో జరిగింది. ప్రారంభ కార్యక్రమంలో దక్షిణ మధ్య క్షేత్ర ఉపాధ్యక్షులు ఆచార్య శ్రీ గొల్లపల్లి నాగేశ్వరరావు, ముగింపు కార్యక్రమంలో ఏపీ సంఘటనా కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ కన్నా భాస్కర్, ప్రాంత కార్యకారిణి సభ్యురాలు శ్రీమతి బి. ధరణిప్రియ పాల్గొన్నారు.
