Vizagvision Visakhapatnam:INDIAN NAVY TO INDUCT INDIGENOUS STEALTH FRIGATEMAHENDRAGIRI INTO THE EASTERN FLEETThe Indian Navy is all set to induct Mahendragiri (F38), the sixth Project 17A indigenous stealth frigate, into its Eastern Fleet at Visakhapatnam on 11 Jul 2026. The commissioning ceremony, to be presided over by the Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, will mark another significant milestone in India’s journey towards defence self-reliance and indigenous warship construction.Designed in-house by the Indian Navy’s Warship Design Bureau(WDB) and built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), Mumbai,Mahendragiri represents the latest evolution of India’s frontline stealth frigates.Incorporating advanced stealth features, enhanced survivability, reduced radar signature, and a high degree of automation, the warship is designed to undertake full spectrum of maritime operations in all dimensions of naval warfare.With over 75 percent indigenous content, the ship reflects the success of the Government of India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative and highlights the growing capability of the Indian shipbuilding ecosystem. The construction of the ship has involved a large number of Indian industries, including Micro,Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), thereby strengthening the nation’s defence industrial base and generating significant employment.Mahendragiri is equipped with an advanced suite of indigenous and state-of-the-art weapons, sensors, and electronic warfare systems, enabling her to effectively undertake anti-air, anti-surface, and anti-submarine operations. The ship is also capable of maritime security operations, Search and Rescue missions, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR), and sustained deployments across the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) and beyond.Named after the majestic Mahendragiri mountain range in the Eastern Ghats, the ship symbolises strength, resilience, and steadfast resolve. As the first Indian Naval warship to bear this name, Mahendragiri carries forward a legacy that reflects the Indian Navy’s commitment to operational excellenceand national service. The ship is fully prepared to join the Fleet as aMission Primed combat platform. The induction of Mahendragiri further strengthens Indian Navy’s combat capability and underscores India’s emergence as a leading indigenous warship-building nation. The induction of the specialised vessel will mark an important addition to the Navy’s deep-sea diving and underwater support capabilities and herald the beginning of a new chapter in the ship’s journey from construction to operational service. Indigenously designed and constructed by Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL), Visakhapatnam,_Nipun_ represents a significant milestone in India’s pursuit of self-reliance in defence shipbuilding. The vessel was delivered to the Indian Navy on 30 Jul 2026, following completion of an extensive programme of outfitting and trials._Nipun_ is a purpose-built platform designed to support a wide spectrum of diving and underwater operations . The ship is equipped with modern diving systems and underwater intervention capabilities , enabling sustained support to divers operating in demanding conditions at sea . It will also augment the Indian Navy’s capability to support submarine rescue operations.The ship incorporates modern systems for navigation, platform management and precise station keeping, complemented by specialised facilities for diving, underwater intervention and medical support. These capabilities enable _Nipun_ to function as an integrated platform for complex operations beneath the surface.The forthcoming commissioning of _Nipun_ will further strengthen the Indian Navy’s ability to undertake specialised diving and underwater missions across India’s maritime areas of interest. It aptly represents the ship’s capability to support prolonged diving operations in the challenging deep-sea environment.The modern diving helmet represents the diver at the core of the ship’s mission and signifies the advanced diving systems and life-support capabilities provided by the vessel. It reflects the ship’s role in enabling divers to operate safely and effectively at great depths.Together, the whale and the diving helmet portray Nipun as a platform dedicated to taking the diver into the depths, sustaining him there, and bringing him back safely, while exemplifying the ship’s ethos of skill, endurance and professionalism.

Vizagvision Visakhapatnam:విశాఖలో ముగిసిన విద్యాభారతి అఖిలభారత సెకండరీ స్థాయి కార్యశాల – అఖిల భారతీయ శిక్షా సంస్థాన్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో మూడు రోజుల పాటు నిర్వహించిన సెకండరీ స్థాయి విద్యాపరిషత్ అఖిలభారత కార్యశాల విజయవంతంగా ముగిసింది. ఆగస్టు 23, 24, 25 తేదీలలో నగరంలోని విశాలాక్షీనగర్ B.V.K కళాశాలలో ఈ కార్యశాల జరిగింది.ఈ కార్యశాలలో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా 55 మంది ప్రాంత, క్షేత్ర ప్రముఖులు పాల్గొన్నారు.విద్యాభారతి అఖిలభారత సంఘటనా కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ గోవింద్ చంద్ర మహంత, ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ దేశ్ రాజ్ శర్మ, సహ సంఘటనా కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ శ్రీరామ్ ఆరావ్ కార్ పాల్గొని సెకండరీ ఇంచార్జ్ లకు దిశానిర్దేశం చేశారు.ఈ సందర్భంగా NEP అమలు, కౌశల్ వికాస్ తరగతుల ప్రారంభం, ఉన్నత ప్రమాణాలతో కూడిన విద్య, విద్యారంగ సవాళ్లు-పరిష్కారాలు, విద్యార్థులలో కమ్యూనికేటివ్ స్కిల్స్ అభివృద్ధి వంటి అంశాలపై విస్తృతంగా చర్చించారు.ఈ కార్యశాల సెకండరీ స్థాయి అఖిలభారత ప్రముఖ్ శ్రీ రాజీవ్ గుప్తా ఆధ్వర్యంలో జరిగింది. ప్రారంభ కార్యక్రమంలో దక్షిణ మధ్య క్షేత్ర ఉపాధ్యక్షులు ఆచార్య శ్రీ గొల్లపల్లి నాగేశ్వరరావు, ముగింపు కార్యక్రమంలో ఏపీ సంఘటనా కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ కన్నా భాస్కర్, ప్రాంత కార్యకారిణి సభ్యురాలు శ్రీమతి బి. ధరణిప్రియ పాల్గొన్నారు.
