DRM CONDUCTS VISAKHAPATNAM- PARVATIPURAM SECTION INSPECTION
Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Waltair, Shri Lalit Bohra, accompanied by Shri MV Ramana, Senior Divisional Engineer (North), Shri A. Avinash Senior Divisional Operations Manager (Movement) and senior officers of the Division, conducted a comprehensive inspection of Bobbili, and Parvatipuram railway stations and their adjoining sections and Window trailing inspection of the Visakhapatnam- Parvatipuram section today 25.04.2026. The primary objective was to evaluate station facilities, amenities, and infrastructure upgrades to ensure safety and enhance passenger comfort.
During the inspection, DRM and team precisely assessed key areas including circulating areas, retiring rooms, relay room, waiting halls, food court areas, booking and parcel offices, other railway establishments and improvements to overall station buildings.
The inspection commenced at Bobbili railway station, followed by Parvatipuram and Parvatipuram Town stations. Special attention was given to amenities and infrastructure developments, particularly under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. He reviewed the progress of works including the construction of a wide Foot Over Bridges, circulating areas and parking lots, upgrades to station buildings at the stations etc. During the inspection MLA Parvatipuram Shri Bonela Vijaya Chandra along with representatives from associations met DRM and highlighted various railway related issues.
At Level Crossing gate RV-285, DRM conducted safety audit where he interacted with the on-duty gateman to assess their safety awareness and adherence to operational protocols, and also inspected an under construction Limited Height Subway at Sitanagaram,
In addition, Shri Lalit Bohra interacted with station staff to review their competencies, maintenance procedures, and concerns, with a focus on upholding strict safety protocols and improving passenger facilities.
